Children love to explore art. With so many different materials and mediums to work with it can be easy for an art teacher to spend too much on classroom art supplies. The best way to save money on these supplies is to make sure the materials are of student quality.

Student quality materials cost a little less and leave a little more room for error. Classroom art supplies should include lots of paper and lots of student quality brushes. Students will be more likely to run through these items more than others.

The classroom art supplies should also consist of child safe scissors and glue for crafting projects. Many teachers find having a large selection of random craft materials such as Popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, glitter, and pom poms can inspire creativity. Art classes should be fun and enjoyable for kids to really learn the principles of being creative.
